Fall 2020 START VU Jasper Registration Coming Soon!

Plan on checking in between 8:15 am and 8:55 am at the Center for Technology, Innovation and Manufacturing (CTIM) building. The program will begin promptly at 9:00 am.

Registering for Classes
An important part of success in the classroom is making sure you are placed in classes that match your level of college readiness. Students who have not successfully completed college level English and math courses are required to take the Accuplacer, an academic skills assessment test.

College Readiness
A minimum Accuplacer score is needed to register for classes.

When should I take the Accuplacer?
You have the option of waiting to take the Accuplacer at START VU Jasper, but we encourage you to take the test early to quicken the registration process. Check out the START VU Jasper Schedule A listed below for students who take the test in advance.  If you have already successfully completed testing, no further action is required.

How do I arrange for Accuplacer testing?
Students wishing to take the Accuplacer in advance of their START VU Jasper day should make plans with the Jasper Campus Administration Office.

Testing is administered on Tuesdays at 9:00 am and Thursdays at 1:30 pm in the Administration Building. Please call 812.482.3030 to schedule your Accuplacer placement test if you plan on taking the test in advance of your START VU Jasper day.

Accuplacer practice tests can be found at www.vinu.edu/assessment-center.

NOTE: A Photo ID is required for testing (Driver’s license, State ID card).  Testing is administered in the Administration Building.  Students should bring their Student ID number also called an “A” Number.

What if I have special needs or require accommodations for a disability?
If you are in need of special accommodations for a disability, please call the Director of Student Services at 812.482.3030 at least two weeks prior to the testing date.  The Director will be happy to assist you with your needs.
