VU Coach Gary Sien says . . .
“Our tough serving and blocking (25 team blocks) took this match over. Grace Doane and Breanna Metzger played well on the rightside in both their hitting and blocking. We got into a huge deficit in the second set, being down over 12 points early due to serve receive problems. But we fought back at the end and despite losing it, we narrowed the gap and carried that momentum into sets three and four.”
