60% of VU students receive financial assistance to pay for college -- including more than $1 million in scholarships and grants. Vincennes University will help you make applying for scholarships simple.


Scholarships

Submit just one scholarship application and we will take care of finding scholarships you are eligible for within the Vincennes University listings.  Those who file by January 15 each year are considered first, but we award scholarships on a rolling basis.

Apply for Scholarships Online

Be sure to check your local sources of scholarships.  Many companies have scholarship programs for employees or children of employees.  Fraternal organizations in your town might also have scholarship programs.

Federal Grants

Grants are money given to help students based on need and other eligibility factors. Grants do not have to be repaid. The amounts vary from year to year.  To be even considered for grants, you have to fill out your FAFSA each year. 

 

State Grants & Forms

Grants are money given to help students based on need and other eligibility factors. Grants do not have to be repaid. The amounts vary from year to year. To be considered for state grants, you have to submit your FAFSA by April 15th each year. Some state scholarships and tuition remissions require separate application.   • Frank O'Bannon Grant 
    This State of Indiana program to help with tuition and regularly assessed fees for up to 15 credits each semester is based on need. The amount of money you can receive varies each year depending on the dollars available and the number of students who apply. You must be enrolled full-time to receive an O'Bannon grant. 
  • Twenty-first Century Scholars Grant
    Income-eligible Indiana 7th and 8th graders who enroll in the program and fulfill a pledge of good citizenship are promised the cost of four years of college tuition and regularly assessed fees at any participating public college or university in Indiana. Up to 15 credits of tuition each semester as well as the student activity fee are covered.
  • Indiana National Guard Supplemental Grant
    State grant that covers up to 15 credits of certain tuition costs for eligible members of the Indiana Air and Army National Guard. To be eligible an applicant must be certified by both the State Student Assistance Commission of Indiana (SSACI) and the Indiana National Guard (ING) and attend a state funded college or university.
